TOURNAMENT INFORMATION

DATE: Saturday 13th & Sunday 14th March 2021 (Some games might start from Friday night)

TIME: Matches will commerce on Friday night (if necessary) or Saturday morning, all medal matches should be completed by no later than 6pm on Sunday evening.

VENUES: Mt Warren Sports Centre (Beenleigh Arena) (2 Milne Street, Mt Warren Park)

DIVISIONS (2021):   Men’s Division 1 & 2; Women’s Division 1 & 2

Teams will only be accepted once their entry form and payment (including bond) have been received. There is also provision to combine divisions if there are insufficient entries. All teams are guaranteed a minimum of five games across the weekend. Spaces are limited in each division due to venue capacity. Once the capacity is reached, further nominations will be put on the waiting list.

NET HEIGHT: Men’s – 2.43m; Women’s – 2.24m.

CLOSING DATE: Entries close on Friday 5th March 2021. Entries received after this time will only be accepted at the discretion of the Tournament Director, plus a $50 late fee.

DRAWS: Draft draw will be available on the tournament website and Facebook page by 5pm on Wednesday 10th March 2021. Please note the draw is subject to change and must be re-checked on a regular basis.

MEDALS: Medals will be awarded to the top three teams in each division. Only eight medals per team will be provided. MVPs will be selected from the finals for each division by the 1st referee and/or the tournament director.

PRIZES: Cash prize will be awarded to division 1 winners only. For 2021, the total cash prize is $1000 ($500 for men's div 1 and $500 for women's div 1 winners).

Cost: $450 per team, plus $100 bond per team/club

Discount: Early Bird -$50 (nominate by 31 Jan 2021); Queensland Travelling Teams -$50* (Outside SE Qld, ie. more than 100km from Brisbane; School or Junior Teams -$50*; Teams with Country of Origin -$50*; Interstate Teams -$100*; International Teams - FREE Entry*.

*To be eligible for the discounted fees, the team must have a minimum of 5 qualifying players. For example, to receive junior discount, the team must have a minimum of 5 junior players. For country of origin discount, the team must have a minimum of 5 players from the same country/region (except Australia), according to their passport or birth place. The team name must start with the COUNTRY or REGION, such as Team Hong Kong or Hong Kong Forces, Team Malaysia or Malaysia Eagles etc.

BOND

$100 bond must be paid to confirm your entry. Clubs entering multiple teams in multiple divisions will only require ONE bond. Bond will be deducted for game/duty forfeits and damage to the equipment and venue (including loss of match balls and extra cleaning fee for the venue). In case of insufficient qualifying players found in the team receiving discount, the discounted amount will be deducted from the bond. Bond will be refunded within ONE week after the tournament.

REFUNDS

There will be no refund of entry fees and bond for teams withdrawn after Sunday 7thMarch 2021.
*Withdrawn due to COVIC-19 restrictions (ie. interstate teams) will receive FULL refund.
